Am I the only one who can’t stand meal prep because my tastes change way too much?? I know some people love the consistency but it’s just not for me and this dish is perfect for a quick weeknight dinner and gets even better as a leftover. The best way I can describe it is “chinese bolognese” because it is a meat sauce but it’s really called “jia chang jiang” (家常将), which translates to home style sauce. You can have this rice, noodles, options are endless!

Instructions
Dice onion (½) and leek (2 inches) then add to a frying pan with a few tbsp of oil, along with the ginger (1 Tbsp) and garlic (6 cloves)
Once everything gets nice and aromatic, add in the ground pork (1 lb) and cook until browned on all sides and most of the liquid is gone
Add in the mushrooms (1) and sauté for a few minutes until browned then add in the wine (2 Tbsp), soy sauce (2 Tbsp), oyster sauce (2 Tbsp), sweet flour paste (2 Tbsp), and sesame oil (1 tsp)
Give everything a toss so that the sauce coats everything, then add in the peanuts (¼ cup)
Garnish with a few sprigs of cilantro and serve with fresh cucumber and a bowl of rice
